CHOOSE A COLLAR TYPE
The shape of the collar is a small but important detail as it frames the face. Pointed collars flatter a round face whereas spread collars fit a narrow face. It also determines for which occasion it is the best match, where the henley collar is more likely to be chosen for casual occasions, the wide spread is more suited to chic and formal occasions.
CHOOSE YOUR FABRIC
Fabric also plays a role in how a shirt feels and when to choose which fabric. For example, on warmer days, it is better to choose a shirt in cotton or linen.
COTTON
Cotton is a soft fiber, derived from the cotton plant. It is used to make a soft
and breathable textile.
POPLIN
Poplin is a fine but thick fabric made of wool, cotton or silk. This fabric is easy to iron and does not crease easily.
LINEN
Linen is a type of textile
that is made from flax.
STRETCH
Stretch fabric is a
synthetic fabric that stretches.
